NEWBORN SPECIALIST TEAM MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

To be considered for a position through Courtneyitb, LLC, all candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Ability to work legally within the United States

• Be at least 21 years of age

• 3 years of relevant professional experience (as a newborn care specialist, night nanny, doula, or nanny)

• Experience working as a newborn care specialist and/or doula with at least 3 families preferred

• Knowledge of every aspect of newborn care, including professional and working knowledge of feeding, bathing, and dressing infants, and preparing, cleaning and sanitizing bottles and / or pump parts

• Experience and knowledge surrounding typical infant sleep, feeding and developmental milestones

• Completed, in progress or seeking certification as a newborn care specialist or doula. Training organizations include but are not limited to: Newborn Care Solutions, Newborn Care Training Academy, Bebo Mia or another CACHE-accredited program

• Demonstration of personal commitment to continued professional development and education

• Familiarity with American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and best practices for newborn care

• Professional and positive communication in all interactions with families and CITB

• Understanding that jobs will be paid through payroll as an independent contractor (1099)

• Ability to pass a background check once an offer of employment has been made
