NEWBORN SPECIALIST TEAM MEMBER REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for a position through Courtneyitb, LLC, all candidates must meet the following requirements:
Ability to work legally within the United States
Be at least 21 years of age
3 years of relevant professional experience (as a newborn care specialist, night nanny, doula, or nanny)
Experience working as a newborn care specialist and/or doula with at least 3 families preferred
Knowledge of every aspect of newborn care, including professional and working knowledge of feeding, bathing, and dressing infants, and preparing, cleaning and sanitizing bottles and / or pump parts
Experience and knowledge surrounding typical infant sleep, feeding and developmental milestones
Completed, in progress or seeking certification as a newborn care specialist or doula. Training organizations include but are not limited to: Newborn Care Solutions, Newborn Care Training Academy, Bebo Mia or another CACHE-accredited program
Demonstration of personal commitment to continued professional development and education
Familiarity with American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines and best practices for newborn care
Professional and positive communication in all interactions with families and CITB
Understanding that jobs will be paid through payroll as an independent contractor (1099)
Ability to pass a background check once an offer of employment has been made
